Ancient Ancient Age Bourbon Review

Ancient Ancient Age Bourbon, like Blanton’s, is distilled at the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, KY. But, like Blanton’s, this brand, along with Elmer T. Lee and Rock Hill Farms, is actually owned by Age International, Inc, a subsidiary of Takara Shuzo, Ltd (based in Kyoto, Japan). When the Schenley Company (who introduced Ancient Age in 1938) sold the distillery and brand in 1983, Age International was formed. Age International was subsequently purchased by Takara Shuzo in 1991. Takara Shuzo retained the brands, but sold the distillery to Sazerac, which has handled their production ever since.
