Speyside distillery Benriach has released another of their Malting Season whiskies – single malts made entirely from barley malted from the distillery’s floor maltings. This will be Benriach’s third such single malt whisky. Benriach claims they are one of only eight distilleries in Scotland engaging in this process.
Benriach Malting Season Third Edition single malt whisky was made from concerto barley, matured in virgin oak and first-fill bourbon casks, bottled at 48.3% alcohol by volume [96.6 proof] and is said to offer notes of apricot, bergamot, cherry, pear and honey.
Benriach Malting Season Third Edition single malt whisky is being made available in select worldwide markets for $140 per bottle.
