Islay distillery Ardbeg has released a ‘smoky-sweet’ 13-year-old whisky as the inaugural offering in their new Anthology Collection which will feature ‘experimental’ single malts matured in cask types that are new to the distillery.

Ardbeg Anthology: The Harpy’s Tale, was aged for 13 years in both ex-bourbon and sweet Sauternes wine casks, bottled at 46% alcohol by volume [92 proof] and is said to offer notes of apricot, coconut, coriander, eucalyptus, olive oil and sage.

Ardbeg Anthology: The Harpy’s Tale is being made for available for $180 per bottle.
