Basil Hayden Bourbon has released Subtle Smoke – actually, re-released, as it was originally released in 2022 with the intention of being a one-time limited release.
Basil Hayden Subtle Smoke, as part of the two-part maturing process, spent six months smoldering in secondary barrels that were toasted, slightly charred and infused with hickory smoke, then bottled at 40% alcohol by volume (80 proof) and is said to offer notes of butterscotch and – what else? – smoke.
Basil Hayden Subtle Smoke is being made available for $50 per 750 ml bottle across the USA.
