Two-time NBA MVP and ACC golf champion has launched his own whisky brand. Stephen Curry, a Golden State Warrior superstar, has become the most recent American to launch a private whisky.

That may be the easier part of the story. In May, Curry broadcasted the launch of Gentleman’s Cut Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, a fine-aged bourbon, and has been seen promoting it at every chance that pops up. This includes drinking the whisky from his recently won ACC Cup immediately after the game. He even went further as to take selfies and published them on social media.

However, Curry is not to be taken for a game. He was thoroughly involved in the complete process of the making and bottling of his whisky. He even learned some of the distillery processes and tricks. So, is he a master distiller? Well, not yet, even though if he continues his game he may just become a top notch master. Here is his take on it:

“Celebrations take on many different forms, from intimate gatherings to major milestones, and at the center of each memorable moment is a spirit rooted in history and tradition,”

So, how is Curry doing all this? All the distilling, aging, and bottling is done by Game Changer Distillery in Boone County, KY. The distillery creates the whisky through a partnership with John Schwartz, the owner of Amuse Bouche Winery in Napa Valley.

Nonetheless, we have to tip our hats to Stephen Curry who is fastly impacting many different strokes of our lives. From basketball to golf and now our whisky shelves.
