Seaweed & Aeons & Digging & Fire 10 Years Old
Good balance and approachable sherried Islay malt. Pleasant but could be so much more! At 40% this is a bit soft and a bit safe for me I’d like a touch more intensity to these flavours and experience.

Glenmorangie Burgundy Wood 12 Years is one of the OG Glenmo core offerings that didn’t make it when LVMH took over. Though its soul lives on in all of the many, and varied, red-wine finished single malts in their portfolio. I guess, in a way, you could say it was reassigned. Though, I’m honestly surprised […]

Glenmorangie Cadboll Estate 15 Years is the standard ex-Bourbon Glenmo aged for 50% longer and made entirely from barley grown on Glenmorangie’s Cadboll Estate farm. So really, not exactly like the GO10 except for being an ex-Bourbon spirit. This particular release is batch 2 which was released in 2020 and only available in North America […]

I first tried the Glenmorangie Malaga Cask Finish 12 Years at a blind tasting. Post-reveal, I immediately opened up the K&L site and ordered a bottle. This limited edition was one of my favorites from that night and stood out amongst all of the other ex-Bourbon and finished Glenmos on the table. It was the […]

Glenmorangie A Tale Of Cake made me a bit weary. The only other whisky I’ve had finished in a Tokaji barrel was the 1995 Longrow and I hated it. It’s one of the worst whiskies I’ve had and is the worst Longrow, or Springbank for that matter, I’ve had… by a long shot. In theory, […]

Before digging more into the past, let’s dive into the most recent release: Glenmorangie A Tale Of Winter. This is the yearly limited edition that came out at the end of last year (2021) and uses a combination of cask and a knit sweater-styled label to try and evoke the idea and feeling of winter. […]

We’re kicking off the second full week of this Glenmo mega vertical with our second dusty: Glenmorangie Traditional 100 Proof. This limited edition came out around 2003 and made a bit of commotion when it did. Though reading through some of the internet archives that commotion seems to be a bit divided. This kinda shocks […]

This Glenmorangie 10 Years Old is a vintage bottling from the early 90s. I figure the best way to cap a run of the current Glenmo core range would be to take a look into the semi-distant past of Glenmorangie. This gives us something to compare everything to and will further set the stage as […]
