Vermont-based Whistlepig has released Piggyback 100 Proof Bourbon – promoted as the ‘flip-side’ partner of their Piggyback 100% Rye. Whistlepig Piggyback 100 Proof Bourbon is Whistlepig’s first bourbon.
Whistlepig Piggyback 100 Proof Bourbon is made with a corn-rye-barley base which includes a ‘super-high’ corn mash bill and a dash of rye, has been aged in char #3 barrels before being bottled at 50% alcohol by volume [100 proof] and is said to contain notes of caramel, spice and vanilla.
The Whistlepig Piggyback 100 Proof Bourbon is being made available in the USA beginning August 30, 2022 for $50 per 750ml bottle.
To celebrate the launch, Whistlepig is taking their Maple Sugaring Shack from Vermont across the country, pouring Whistlepig’s signature barrel-aged maple syrup cocktails in Atlanta, Austin, Dallas and Tampa through the Autumn 2022.
