Black Irish whiskey-and-stout is being released in the Netherlands.
Black Irish is a triple-distilled Irish whiskey which has been matured in deep-charred American ex-bourbon casks, then combined with a stout and barrel-aged stout blend, bottled at 40% alcohol by volume [80 proof] and is said to contain notes of barley, chocolate and coffee.
Black Irish is recommended [by Black Irish] to be served neat, in a shot of espresso or mixed with cola, ginger ale or soda water and is being made available for $45 per 700ml bottle on Amazon.
Black Irish is not to be confused with another brand using the same name – that “Black Irish” is a cream liqueur owned by singer Mariah Carey – and the two Black Irishes are currently embroiled in a trademark battle.
