Compass Box has released The Circle No. 2 – a limited edition blended whisky – as part of their The Circle global bartender competition.

Launched in 2018, The Circle competition has a select group of bartenders from around the world compete to create a creative blended whisky with the winner rewarded with their own limited edition Compass Box whisky.

Compass Box The Circle No. 2 whisky was created by Mannie Monaghan of the Below Stairs bar in Leeds [UK] and illustrates his neurological condition – synaesthesia – which causes the blending of senses and inspired him to ask the question: “What does the color coral taste like?”

Compass Box The Circle No. 2 is a blended whisky containing whisky from the Speyside distillery Glen Elgin, along with whisky aged in sherry casks, some peated whisky and a small amount of malt whisky matured in shaved, toasted and recharred (STR) wine casks, bottled at 46% alcohol by volume [92 proof] and is said to contain notes of honey, peach and vanilla.

Only 3,113 bottles of Compass Box The Circle No. 2 are being made available worldwide for $160 per bottle beginning in June 2022.
