The GlenAllachie Distillers Company has released a 10-year-old blended Scotch called Lum Reek under their MacNair’s Boutique House of Spirits brand.

MacNair’s Lum Reek 10-Year-Old Cask Strength Batch 1 is a blend of Islay and Speyside single malts, matured for a second time in sherry casks, wine barriques and virgin oak casks before being bottled at 55.4% alcohol by volume [110.8 proof] and is said to contain notes of dark chocolate, ginger and vanilla.

GlenAllachie MacNair’s Lum Reek 10-year-old Cask Strength Batch 1 is being made available for $80 per bottle.

MacNair’s Lum Reek Peated 12 Years Old

Solid. A touch non-descript in places though I often find with blends it can be hard to discern distinct taste notes. A good mixture of sweet and peat without resorting to too much ‘cask’ influences. 83/100
