Iconic Highland distillery, Glenmorangie, has released the second installment of their ‘It’s kind of delicious and wonderful’ promotional campaign.
The promotion features six scenes inviting viewers to step into the world of Glenmorangie, where everything is ‘kind of delicious and wonderful’
The six scenes where one might theoretically enjoy a Glenmorangie are a hot-air-balloon ride, a lush greenhouse [you know, to select your own fresh garnish], an arcade, a visit to the barber shop, a trip to a fortune-teller and a film screening all the aforementioned locales.
Glenmorangie whiskies depicted in the promotion are Glenmorangie Original, Glenmorangie Lasanta and Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban either neat, over ice, or mixed in cocktails.
To further promote Glenmorangie and the promotional campaign in the UK, Glenmorangie will open an immersive pop-up phone box – The Wonder Hotline – in Spitalfields Market, Shoreditch, [London] from Tuesday November 15 to Saturday November 19, 2022.
Guests are invited to step inside the bright orange phone box, and answer ‘wild and wonderful’ questions. Their answers will take them to a London-based Glenmorangie-serving establishment where they will be able to enjoy a free Glenmorangie cocktail.

After spending two years in their respective oloroso or PX finishing casks, the liquid gets blended together to deliver an interesting whisky that really does need to be experienced. Which is what we’re going to do right now.
Let’s get to drinkin’!
Glenmorangie Lasanta 12 Years – Details and Tasting Notes
Whiskey Details
Natural Color
Style: Single Malt (Scotch) Region: Highlands, Scotland Distiller: Glenmorangie
NOSE
Raspberry taffy, waxy vanilla, raisins, cinnamon, toasted malt, nuts, and a touch of leather and freeze-dried blueberries.
Dark and lovely, the aroma is definitely my favorite part of this whisky.
PALATE
Raspberry taffy, waxy vanilla, citrus zest, raisins, roasted nuts, leather, cinnamon, malt and touches of copper and oak.
Dark and brooding with pastry-sweet highlights, it’s almost as fun as the aroma, but hits more on the sweet side.
FINISH
Med-long -> Dark fruit, waxy vanilla, copper and touch of oak and nuts on a dryly sweet fade.
BALANCE, BODY and FEEL
Good balance, med-full body and a feel that’s a touch syrupy.
Glenmorangie Lasanta 12 Years – Overall Thoughts and Score
Darkly sweet and fruity with touches of spice and nuts. Lasanta is a fun and lovely whisky. It’s not the deepest, heaviest or most complex sherry finished whisky I’ve had, but it is a good contender and shows what can be accomplished with 2 years, vs the more standard 3-6 months, finishing. Good whisky takes time.
There is no way around it. Small barrels, pressure, heat, sonic waves, blah, blah, blah. None of it ever produces a whisky that holds a candle to something that’s been given the proper care and time… like the Glenmorangie Lasanta 12 Years.
SCORE: 3.5/5 (tasty, worth checking out ~ B | 83-86)
