The Glenturret Distillery released a limited edition 18-year-old single malt to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the The Gleneagles hotel, which is located a few miles away from the Glenturret Distillery.
The Glenturret Gleneagles Centenary was bottled at 46.5% alcohol by volume [93 proof] and is said to offer notes of cinnamon, ginger and vanilla.
Only 600 hand-numbered bottles of The Glenturret Gleneagles Centenary are being made available for $455 per 700ml bottle – though each purchase includes a complimentary tour of The Glenturret Distillery [Scotland’s oldest distillery, established in 1763].
However, a caveat – only a portion of the 600 bottles will be sold to the public, while the rest will be released exclusively to hotel residents.
