GlenAllachie Reveals Spirit Of Speyside Festival Whisky

Speyside distillery GlenAllachie has revealed their exclusive whisky for this year’s Spirit of Speyside Festival, along with a trio of single cask whiskies for the UK. The 2022 Spirit of Speyside Festival is from April 27 to May 2, 2022.

The Spirit of Speyside 2022 whisky is named The GlenAllachie 15-Year-Old Cask #3292 Ex-Solera Oloroso Butt, was aged in a former bourbon barrel, then shifted to a first-fill Oloroso puncheon, re-racked in an antique [55-year-old] Solera Oloroso butt before finally being bottled at 59.4% alcohol by volume [118.8 proof].

The 2022 Spirit of Speyside Festival whisky is only being made available from The GlenAllachie’s distillery shop for $220 per bottle.

The GlenAllachie is also releasing a trio of single cask whiskies which will comprise Batch 6: The GlenAllachie 11-Year-Old Premier Cru Classé Barrique; The GlenAllachie 10-Year-Old Tawny Port Hogshead; and The GlenAllachie 9-Year-Old Peated Bourbon Barrel.

The GlenAllachie Premier Cru Classé Barrique is bottled at 59.9% alcohol by volume [119.8 proof], and was matured in a former Bordeaux red wine cask for 11 years and is said to contain notes of apple, berries and cinnamon. The GlenAllachie 11-year-old is being made available for $125 per bottle.

The GlenAllachie 10-year-old Port hogshead bottling was matured in a former Tawny Port wine cask, was bottled at 56.5% alcohol by volume [113 proof] and is said to contain notes of fruit. The GlenAllachie 10-year-old is being made available for $120 per bottle.

The GlenAllachie nine-year-old was aged in a former bourbon barrel, bottled at 60.1% alcohol by volume [120.2 proof] and is said to contain notes of burnt sugar and root ginger. The GlenAllachie nine-year-old is being made available for $115 per bottle.

All The GlenAllachie Batch 6 single cask whiskies are being made available in the UK beginning on May 2, 2022.

Glasgow Distillery has released a 1770 single malt as an exclusive collaboration with the 2022 Glasgow Whisky Festival. Glasgow Distillery is the primary sponsor of the 2022 Glasgow Whisky Festival, which takes place today (February 19) at Hampden Park Stadium in Glasgow.

Glasgow Distillery 1770 Glasgow Festival single malt Co was matured five years in a first-fill Marsala cask, bottled at 55.8% alcohol by volume [111.6 proof], has been smoked to 50PPM with peat from the Scottish Highlands and is said to contain notes of almond, butterscotch, dark chocolate, figs and smoke.

Glasgow Distillery 1770 Glasgow Festival single malt is being made available for $80 per bottle though Glasgow Festival visitors may choose to redeem their festival voucher (worth $13.50) toward the purchase.
