ALL PROCEEDS will go to the American Red Cross and their efforts to comfort and help Western KY victims.

FIRST TIME. EVER. The distillery itself has never donated these two “sell your first born to get” collections at once.

NO STRANGER TO TORNADOS….In 2006, a tornado swept through central KY, ripping off the rooftop of Warehouse C at Buffalo Trace in Frankfort, KY. Per the damage, the whiskey housed on the top floor were exposed to the elements that summer. This led to the iconic release of E.H. Taylor “Tornado Bourbon” in 2012.

HUGE THANKS to BTD and the VW Family for their generous donations of this highly coveted juice for a great cause. Here’s to raising hopefully a bunch of money for the thousands of victims of this horrible tragedy.

Kentucky Bourbon Benefit

Tragedy and devastation have struck Western Kentucky with a crippling force equal to that of the historical tornadoes that ravaged the Bourbon State.

Kentucky’s signature industry is not laying low. The Bourbon community has rallied with its own all powerful counterforce of compassion to raise money for the countless people who have been absolutely upended by this tragedy.

The “Kentucky Bourbon Benefit” is a charitable fundraiser organized by the Kentucky Distillers Association, Whiskey guru Fred Minnick, and The Bourbon Crusaders (charitable organization). In less than a week, they have worked with the KY Bourbon Industry to amass a jaw-dropping mouth watering number of items for auction – ALL PROCEEDS going to the state’s official “Team Western Kentucky Tornado Relief Fund“.

The auction action is off to a barrel strength start! The first 8 items listed already at $170,600. How about that Angel’s Envy Cask Strength for $75,000!

If there was ever a time to drop a ton of coin on Bourbon, and feel not only guilt free – but knowing you’re making a tremendous difference, this is it. And you don’t have to spend a ton, give a $100 or even $1 to the fund, each and every contribution is needed and greatly appreciated.

Thanks to our tremendous Bourbon Community & Industry for stepping up and making this happen. In the words of the humble hero BBQ man Jimmy Finch who drove to Mayfield, KY from Tennessee Sunday with his grill to feed whoever he could – “It needed to be done”.

Halloween is almost here, and this year, after 18 months of intermittent lockdowns and closures, our shop teams want to do some celebrating. If you head down to see them this weekend they might have a treat for you…

Treats with no tricks

Halloween drinks

Each of our three shops – Covent Garden, Great Portland Street and London Bridge – has a pile of presents to give out on Friday 29 and Saturday 30 October 2021.  To get your Halloween treat, just pop in to the shop, scan the QR code at the checkout, sign up to our mailing list and smile sweetly at the member of staff behind the counter – they’ll have a dig around in the bag of treats and present you with a gift. No tricks.

We’ve got a stack of glasses and hip flasks to give away, and everyone who signs up to the mailing list also gets an entry into our Halloween prize draw – we’re giving away a magnum of Crystal Head vodka worth £100!

I ain’t ‘fraid of no ghost

Dan Aykroyd Crystal Head Vodka

Crystal Head vodka sprung from the conspiracy-loving mind of Dan Aykroyd: Ghostbuster, Blues Brother and our favourite funny Canadian (sorry Katherine Ryan). The vodka, like Dan, is made in Canada from, unlike Dan, corn. However, its most distinctive feature is its bottle – a crystal skull.

The regular bottle is quite impressive, but the magnum steps things up by being the size of an actual human head – it’s about the same size as mine, if you’ve ever seen me in real life. I still really want one…I want to fill it with jelly beans.

Anyway, everyone who joins our mailing list in our shops this weekend will be entered into the draw and one lucky winner will receive a head-sized magnum of Crystal Head.

To the shop(s)!

To find out more, grab a treat and enter the competition, make sure you head down to The Whisky Exchange shops on Friday and Saturday – you can find out more about them all on our Shops page.

If you can’t get to London but are still looking for spooky drinks, then worry not – we have lots to choose from over on our Halloween and Day of the Dead page.
