UK-based [Fife] Kingsbarns Distillery is spreading the gift pack love in anticipation of the holiday gift-giving season with their Dream to Dram gift packs and Balcomie whisky.
Kingsbarns’ Dream to Dram – their flagship whisky – was matured in ex-bourbon barrels for 90% of the whisky while the remaining 10% was matured in shaved, toasted and re-charred wine barriques, then bottled at 46% alcohol by volume [92 proof] and is said to offer notes of banana, custard, pineapple and toffee.
Kingsbarns Balcomie whisky was matured in ex-Oloroso sherry American oak butts, also bottled at 46% alcohol by volume [92 proof] and is said to offer notes of apricot, cinnamon, hazelnut and orange peel.
Kingsbarns’ Dream to Dram Gift Packs and Balcomie whisky are being made available in seven Harvey Nichols luxury department stores around the UK, with Kingsbarns’ Dream to Dram Gift Packs going for $65 per gift pack and Balcomie whisky going for $60 per bottle.
