If you had money, would you purchase a bottle of Scotch whisky for $655,000? If yes, you will have the opportunity to do so at the upcoming ‘One of One’ rare whisky auction. The function is being sponsored by the Distiller’s Charity, Sotheby’s Auction House, and the Earl of Hopetoun.

The auction is set to raise funds for the Youth Action Fund, an organization with an emphasis on aiding less privileged teens and young adults. The auction will take place on October 5, 2023. Here are some whiskies that will be participating and their opening values.

Old Pulteney Bow Wave 45-Year-Old Single Malt

It is the oldest whisky in Old Pulteney’s 197-year history, and although the price has not been announced, rumors have that the starting price is set at $655,000

Bowmore ‘STAC’

Bowmore STAC is a  55-year-old expression from the Islay distillery that already has an estimated value of between $400,000-$700,000.

The Glenturret ‘Enduring Spirit’

The whisky will represent  Glenturret’s 260 years of history, even though there is no price speculations, critics believe this will be the highest bid set.
