Glasgow-based independent bottler Caskade has released Born in a Storm – their debut single malt whisky created in a collaboration with Scottish pop band Deacon Blue.

Caskade’s “Born in a Storm” was distilled on Orkney, then matured for 13 years ageing in a single cask before being finished in an ex-Oloroso sherry cask specifically selected by the members of Deacon Blue to celebrate the 35th anniversary of their 1987 debut album, “Raintown” and was bottled at 48.2% alcohol by volume [96.4 proof].

Only 853 bottles of Caskade Born in a Storm are being made available via Caskade’s official site [caskadedrinks.com] for $115 per bottle.
