Knob Creek® Bourbon is proud to reintroduce Knob Creek® 18 Year Old to its award winning* portfolio. Originally introduced in 2022 as the brand’s oldest release to date, the extra-aged bourbon is back for a limited time.
Aged twice as long as our flagship bourbon and bottled at 100 proof, the liquid offers a complex, yet balanced profile. Our bourbon owes its rich copper color and deep notes of caramelized oak to its extensive aging in our Kentucky rackhouses.
At 18 years, this bourbon further demonstrates how great things take time and patience, living up to Sixth Generation Master Distiller Booker Noe’s intention when he first introduced Knob Creek to the world over three decades ago in 1992.

{VERSAILLES, KY} A new chapter in American Whiskey history begins. Wes Henderson, Bourbon Hall of Fame inductee and co-founder of ANGEL’S ENVY®, has created a new whiskey company, Saga Spirits Group, and is launching a new portfolio of premium whiskey under the brand True Story.
Per the brand, True Story combines timeless tradition with modern innovation. Leveraging decades of experience, the unique process and finishing techniques create sophisticated and distinctive whiskey. The True Story legacy begins with:
True Story Finished Bourbon: a 90-proof Kentucky straight Bourbon whiskey aged five to six years in charred American white oak barrels. The Bourbon is finished in White Moscatel casks, a fortified wine, for up to six months, highlighting notes of white exotic fruits and florals that create a complementary sweetness to the whiskey.
True Story Finished Rye: a 100-proof blend of straight Rye whiskey with a tasting profile of sweet raisin, cinnamon, black pepper, caramelized sugar and French oak. Initially aged five to eight years, the liquid is then finished for two to twelve months in Brazilian Amburana hardwood to add notes of spice and matured in Pedro Ximénez (PX) and Oloroso Sherry casks to draw out raisin and dried fruit notes that combine for a perfectly balanced final profile, per the brand.
The packaging is extremely unique. The finished bourbon is in an all-black matte hexagonal bottle, and the rye is in an all-white hexangular bottle. The sleek, minimalist bottle design stands out on a back bar, allowing the quality of the spirit to speak for itself.
“Our family’s roots are deeply intertwined with the rich heritage of Kentucky and Whiskey,” said Wes Henderson, CEO and Founder of True Story. “We founded True Story to create a space where people can ‘pull up a chair,’ share a drink, and connect over stories. Whether you’re a seasoned whiskey drinker or new to the experience, we believe every bottle holds a unique story waiting to be told.
Wes Henderson is joined at True Story by his six sons, continuing the legacy of his father, Lincoln Henderson, who was responsible for creating some of America’s most beloved spirits.
“We’re committed to crafting spirits that stand the test of time,” said Kyle Henderson, Head of Production at True Story. “True Story is a testament to our dedication to quality. From carefully selecting ingredients to the meticulous blending process, every step is taken with the utmost care to ensure a truly exceptional product.”
A 750ml bottle of True Story Finished Bourbon has a suggested retail price of $59.99, while True Story Finished Rye is suggested to retail for $69.99.* Both will be available on TrueStoryWhiskey.com and at select Kentucky and Tennessee retailers starting October 10. Prices may vary by state.

September 10th is a very special day in Bourbon Country. Not very often you get to honor someone for spending 70 years with a company. Yesterday was that day for Bourbon icon Jimmy Russell of Wild Turkey Distillery in Lawrenceburg, KY.
Jimmy first stepped foot in the distillery on September 10, 1954, and over the following years, his steadfast and sometimes stubborn dedication to making bourbon the pre-prohibition way has cemented Wild Turkey as an American icon and helped to drive the success that the bourbon industry enjoys today. To thank him, the team at Wild Turkey is marking the milestone with a celebration including the release of Wild Turkey Jimmy Russell’s 70th Anniversary 8-Year-Old Bourbon, crafted just the way he likes it.
Jimmy’s earliest days at the distillery were spent sweeping the floors at age 18, and he rose through the ranks to become Master Distiller by remaining committed to crafting bourbon one way – the right way – even when it wasn’t popular. In the 1970s and 80s when the bourbon industry was close to collapse, Jimmy stayed the course. Consumers were favoring lighter spirits, but he refused to dilute his bourbon; embracing the pre-prohibition style that he learned from his mentor and predecessor Bill Hughes, Jimmy “didn’t change a damn thing.”
His approach helped propel the popularity of many of the distillery’s classic bourbons, including Jimmy’s favorite, Wild Turkey 101. That’s why the distillery is proud to celebrate Jimmy’s milestone and legacy with a collection-worthy and commemorative 101-proof bourbon tailored to his taste.
HIGHLIGHTS
AGE: 8 Year Bourbon (8 to 9 year blend)
PROOF: 101
PRICE: $50
SALE DATE: Fall nationwide
Wild Turkey Jimmy Russell’s 70th Anniversary 8-Year-Old Bourbon features Jimmy’s signature 8-year-old, 101-proof bourbon, along with an additional blend of 8- to 9-year-old whiskeys that were hand-selected from a few of his favorite rickhouses. Per the brand, the bourbon offers rich aromas of oak, honey, cinnamon and tobacco and tasting notes marked by sweet cream, butterscotch and black tea notes that transition to bitter chocolate, dark cherry and burnt sugar.
It will be available on shelves in select global markets starting this fall, for a suggested retail price of US $50 per 750ml bottle.
“While it’s hard to put Jimmy’s impact on the bourbon industry into words, I can’t think of a more fitting way to mark this milestone than with Wild Turkey Jimmy Russell’s 70th Anniversary 8-Year-Old Bourbon,” says Wild Turkey Associate Blender and Jimmy’s grandson, Bruce Russell. “We chose a special blend of choice whiskies from a few of his favorite rickhouses, and at 101 proof, it’s meant to be just what he loves most about bourbon. We can’t wait for fans around the world to enjoy it, and in the words of Granddad himself – if you don’t like it, he’ll drink it.”
Jimmy has received many accolades throughout the past seven decades, but Wild Turkey wanted to celebrate him in a new way on his 70th anniversary. In addition to creating the limited-edition bourbon, Wild Turkey honored Jimmy just as many of history’s greatest artists, musicians, athletes and heroes have been immortalized before – by commissioning a portrait of Jimmy to personify his icon status within American culture. Award-winning and renowned photographer Danny Clinch, who has photographed some of the world’s most influential celebrities, rock stars and performers, captured the portrait of Jimmy in Kentucky.
“I’m proud to have added the legendary Jimmy Russell to my portfolio in honor of his 70th anniversary at Wild Turkey. I typically shoot with entertainers – rock stars and world-class athletes – so the opportunity to work with a different kind of rock star, in an industry that has so much history and heritage, was a unique and incredible honor,” says Clinch. “Jimmy’s passion, dedication and craft is simply unmatched in the world, and it was a pleasure to spend time with him in Kentucky capturing these photographs. Cheers to 70 years of Jimmy Russell.”
Fans can learn more about Jimmy’s legacy and history at the newly renovated Jimmy Russell Wild Turkey Experience in picturesque Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. Reopened in spring 2024 and named in dedication to Jimmy, each element of the new visitor center was designed to evoke his mentality, conviction and strength. With any luck, visitors might even catch Jimmy himself, often found in his favorite chair sharing his wisdom, cracking jokes, and telling stories.
“In my eyes, I’ve never worked a day in my life. The day I do, I’ll retire,” jokes Master Distiller Jimmy Russell. “Until then, I’m going to continue making the bourbon I love.”
Wild Turkey encourages you to celebrate this bourbon milestone responsibly. For more information on how Wild Turkey is celebrating Jimmy’s 70-year career, please visit www.wildturkeybourbon.com.

Maker’s Mark ® (Loretto, KY), has announced the 2024 release of Maker’s Mark Cellar Aged: the annual, global limited-release expression that delivers the distillery’s highly anticipated and oldest release. Like the inaugural, award-winning 2023 release, Maker’s Mark Cellar Aged 2024 is aged to taste, not time – now blending 12- and 13-year-old Maker’s Mark to unlock new flavors.
“We surprised the world with the debut of Maker’s Mark Cellar Aged last year, a bold step in our family’s legacy because, for more than 65 years, aging our whisky for a decade-plus wasn’t something we did,” said Rob Samuels, 8th generation whisky maker and Managing Director, Maker’s Mark. “Staying true to our founders’ flavor vision and our relentless pursuit of excellence, we’re thrilled to introduce our most mature bourbon yet.”
Meticulously crafted, Maker’s Mark Cellar Aged 2024 blends 15% Maker’s Mark 12-year-old and 85% Maker’s Mark 13-year-old, at 59.7% ABV or 119.3 Proof. Per the brand, the aroma is captivating, with notes of caramelized sugar, zesty citrus, and toasted almond. The palate unveils a delicate interplay of buttery shortbread, rich coconut, and bright spices. A lingering, mouth-coating finish showcases dried dark fruit and subtle oak undertones.
“Delivering an elevated expression that’s distinctly Maker’s Mark, Cellar Aged finishes maturation in our LEED-certified cellar, built into the limestone shelf that surrounds us, creating a richer, deeper and more complex bourbon, free from the harsher tannic effects commonly found in older American whiskies,” said Dr. Blake Layfield, Head of Innovation and Blending, Maker’s Mark.
Per the brand, the limestone shelf that surrounds Star Hill Farm, homeplace to the Maker’s Mark Distillery, is key to crafting the unique taste of its bourbon – thanks to the innovative spirit of Margie and Bill Samuels, Sr., who in 1953, chose the land in Loretto, Kentucky because of its water source and natural watershed. Maker’s Mark still owns, protects, and enriches all 76 acres of its main lake’s watershed; and today, is the largest bourbon distillery in the world to achieve B Corp Certification and the first distillery to achieve Regenified Certification, a reflection of the brand’s dedication to regenerative agriculture practices that enhances the flavor of its bourbon.
Maker’s Mark Cellar Aged 2024 will be available for a suggested retail price of USD $174.99 in the United States beginning September 16; in the United Kingdom, Germany and select Global Travel Retail accounts in the coming weeks; and in Korea, Japan and Singapore in early 2025.

The James B. Beam Distilling Co. (Clermont, KY) has announced the first innovation coming from Booker’s Bourbon since 2019 – Booker’s Bourbon ‘The Reserves’.
Highlights
AGE: 8 to 14 year Bourbon blend.
PROOF: 125.9 (62.95% abv)
PRICE: $129.99 750ml SRP
AVAILABILITY: Nationwide at select stores
The 2024 expression is the first of a new, annual limited-release series by Freddie Noe (8th Generation Beam Master Distiller) to commemorate his grandaddy, 6th Generation Master Distiller Booker Noe, and his contributions to the bourbon world. Booker and Freddie Noe are American Whiskey trailblazers and Booker’s Bourbon ‘The Reserves’ honors Booker’s legacy by creating a full-flavored American Whiskey inspired by how Freddie believes his grandfather would be making whiskey in modern day.
The first release of ‘The Reserves’ is an 8 to 14-year-old blend that Booker’s Bourbon drinkers will recognize. Always uncut and unfiltered, always cask strength, and always pulled from the center cut in the warehouse – just as Booker envisioned when he created his Small Batch Bourbon Collection and forever changed the American Whiskey category. Per the brand, ‘The Reserves’ is something entirely new; due to the scarcity of the barrels, it’s released in smaller quantities than the four yearly Booker’s Batches and uses fewer, and older, barrels in the blend to achieve a layered and complex flavor profile.
“I created ‘The Reserves’ series to commemorate my grandaddy Booker,” shared Freddie Noe, 8th Generation Master Distiller of the Fred B. Noe Distillery. “Liquid like this can take a while to find, but when I do, it feels like the Big Man himself picked them out. It’s just the kind of Bourbon I believe my grandaddy would be making if he were still alive with us now.”
The 2024 release spans eight production dates and eight different warehouses, these barrels were aged as follows:
• 8 Years, 2 Months, 12 Days on the 4th floor of warehouse G
• 8 Years, 5 Months, 19 Days on the 5th floor of warehouse I
• 8 Years, 5 Months, 20 Days on the 5th floor of warehouse Z
• 9 Years, 2 Months, 3 Days on the 5th floor of warehouse Q
• 9 Years, 2 Months, 4 Days on the 6th floor of warehouse J
• 9 Years, 5 Months, 18 Days on the 7th floor of warehouse H
• 10 Years, 3 Months, 2 Days on the 4th floor of warehouse X
• 14 Years, 4 Months, 16 Days on the 6th floor of warehouse I
Booker’s Bourbon ‘The Reserves’ 2024 Limited Edition Bourbon will be available in extremely limited quantities nationwide across the U.S. and in-store. For real-time information about Booker’s Bourbon follow along on Instagram @BeamDistilling and www.beamdistilling.com.

Heaven Hill Distillery (Bardstown, KY) announced today the release of the 18th edition of the Parker’s Heritage Collection® featuring a 14-year-old Kentucky Straight Malt Whiskey Finished in Reconstructed Heavy Toast Cognac Barrels. The 18th Edition is an allocated product and will be available nationally and internationally in limited quantities at the suggested retail price of $169.99. Like previous editions, a portion of the proceeds will continue to support ALS research and patient care in honor of Parker Beam, late Master Distiller Emeritus.
This edition is made possible due to the continued partnership with Master Blender Alain Royer, who Heaven Hill has partnered with on two previous Parker’s Heritage Collection releases. It is comprised of 14-year-old Malt Whiskey that was barreled in March 2009. The 128 Malt Whiskey barrels were dumped and then finished in 56 larger, reconstructed heavy toast Cognac barrels for almost four months. The original Malt Whiskey barrels are from the fourth floor of Rickhouse O and the sixth floor of Rickhouse Q.
Once re-barreled, the Cognac barrels aged in Rickhouse H1 on the fifth floor. The mashbill for this edition is comprised of 65% malted barley and 35% corn and bottled at 107 proof. The Whiskey (brand provided) is described as rich and velvety with flavors of molasses and bittersweet chocolate followed by cloves and nutmeg. At bottling, the liquid was non-chill filtered to preserve the natural flavors of the aging process.
“We are excited to continue to work with Alain Royer as we look for more ways to innovate with barrel finished products,” said Susan Wahl, Vice President of American Whiskey at Heaven Hill. “In honoring Parker’s enduring legacy, Heaven Hill Distillery remains steadfast in our commitment to uphold the high standards he set. With this latest expression, we celebrate Parker’s influence on and dedication to innovating outside of Heaven Hill’s traditional Bourbon mashbills by crafting a Whiskey that embodies his spirit as we continue to support ALS research and patient care.”
The late Heaven Hill Master Distiller Parker Beam, for whom the acclaimed series is named, was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (also called ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease) in 2010. Since 2013, proceeds from sales of the Parker’s Heritage Collection have raised more than $1.3 million dollars toward ALS research and patient care through contributions made by Heaven Hill for each bottle purchased. With this edition, Heaven Hill will again contribute a portion of the proceeds from each bottle sold to the ALS Association. To learn more about The Parker Beam Promise of Hope Fund, please visit als.org/parker-beam-promise-hope-fund.
Packaged in the same upscale 750ml bottle as the previous seventeen editions, but with a garnet-colored label, the newest Parker’s Heritage Collection is available in a three-bottle case and will arrive at retail locations starting in September.

MASHBILL: 95% Rye, 5% Malted Barley

The new expression began its journey by embracing the art of fusion. American oak barrels used for finishing were repurposed to produce a delicious, locally sourced, barrel-aged honey. The team then returned the whiskey, which was aged for a minimum of three years, to the honey-infused casks for another round of aging to create a distinct and harmonious profile. Crafted in Memphis, the new expression features a classic mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley, which was bottled at 117.2 proof (58.6% ABV).
“Limited releases like our Honey Rye Cask allow our team to flex its creative muscles and shine a spotlight on special finishes,” said Logan Welk, President and Chief Operating Officer, B.R. Distilling Company. “Blue Note’s bold and spicy notes blended with the nuanced flavors of wildflower honey deliver an intricate balance of strength and sweetness.”
Honey Rye Cask Tasting Notes (Brand Provided)
Nose: Very light apricot, vanilla, all spice, and oak
Taste: Caramel, hints of apricot, oak, floral finish, all spice
Finish: Soft and balanced, light texture, with lingering hints of wildflower and honey
Blue Note Honey Rye Whiskey is now available for purchase online at BlueNoteBourbon.com and Seelbachs.com as well as in the following markets: CT, FL, GA, KS, MA, MO, NJ, NY, RI, TN, and TX. The suggested retail price for a 750ml bottle is $64.99 (may vary by market).
Blue Note’s whiskey portfolio is distilled in partnership with Bardstown Bourbon Company (parent company of Green River Distilling Company) and then aged just north of downtown Memphis where the Mississippi and Wolf Rivers collide. The long summers filled with infamous Memphis heat and cooler evenings forces the whiskey deep into the oak, creating an unmistakably rich flavor that’s bold yet smooth.

J. Mattingly 1845 Distillery (Frankfort, KY), created by Jeff Mattingly, a descendant of distilling pioneer John Graves Mattingly, is honoring its family legacy with the release of its Small Batch Classic Bourbon, on what would have been John Graves Mattingly’s 201st birthday this month. The distillery, located across the street from Buffalo Trace, opened its new location November 2023.
The Classic Bourbon is the first flagship bourbon released under the J. Mattingly 1845 line of whiskies, and will offer fans a consistent taste profile they will be able to find year-round at retailers and online.
“Previously, all of the J. Mattingly 1845 double-staved whiskey releases have been custom blends, created for specific retailers, our guests at the distillery, or by our blending team to honor a specific cause or event,” said Harry Richart, president of J. Mattingly 1845 Distillery. “This classic double-staved release is now our anchor “house style” from which all of our custom blends, including your own, emanate.”
If early reviews are any indication, J. Mattingly 1845 is right on track – famed Whiskey Bible author Jim Murray scored the Classic Bourbon a 96, saying, “This is extraordinary bourbon for a 6-year-old, having been taken as far as it can go – a bit like an apple plucked from the tree when at its most carmine but juiciest… Every year you will find a very small handful of bottlings which is a real bourbon-lovers’ bourbon. Well, this is one of them.”
The J. Mattingly 1845 Classic Bourbon is a six-and-a-half-year blend bottled at 119 proof. Like all J. Mattingly 1845 Distillery releases, this bourbon has undergone the Distillery’s signature double- staving process, allowing the whiskey inside the barrels additional surface exposure to charred barrel staves to impart more flavor and color.
“This bourbon is the very definition of complex, as well as one which appears to like to stretch a point as far as it can without being guilty of over-indulgence. Unquestionably this is due to the Double-Staving method deployed which, with its extra charring, has turned a 6-year-old into something showing the honeyed and toasted intensity of a bourbon a little over three times that age: remarkable. More remarkable is the feeling that just another summer month of maturation and this would have clicked from brilliance to failure: such is the fine line of success in the rarefied atmosphere of whiskeys at this stellar level,” continued Murray.
The Classic Bourbon is available at the Distillery in Frankfort, in select retailers, and online, with shipping to 46 U.S. states. Suggested retail pricing is $110 for 750 mL.

From still to rickhouse to bottle, a lot of things happen with the liquid like weather, length of aging, and rickhouse placement all shape the distinct notes and flavors of each barrel.
Named after Baker Beam, grandnephew of the legendary Jim Beam, Baker’s Bourbon honors the family’s long history of distilling. Jim Beam first released Baker’s Bourbon in 1988 as part of its Small Batch Collection. Booker Noe, the sixth generation distiller at Jim Beam, created the bourbon in honor of his grand-nephew, Baker Beam, a distiller who worked at the Jim Beam Distillery for 38 years. Baker’s is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey that’s aged for a minimum of seven years at 107 proof and comes from the top floor of the Jim Beam Distillery warehouses.
In 2019, Beam Suntory, Jim Beam’s parent company, relaunched Baker’s as a single barrel product with two age-stated expressions: a seven-year and a 13-year. The 13-year bourbon has a mashbill of 77% corn, 13% rye, and 10% malted barley and is rust in color.

Per the brand, Bardstown’s High Wheat Bourbon is comprised of one of the highest percentage wheated mashbills in the bourbon category at 39%. Combined with a low barrel entry proof, meant to extract maximum wood sugars, the result as noted by BBCo is imbued with ripe apricot and lemon, resting on leather and crème brûlée on the nose. A bold palate of oak and pastry leads to a lightly spiced, yet full-bodied finish.
Nick Smith, Director of Distillation and Head Distiller for Bardstown Bourbon Co. has worked alongside Master Distiller Steve Nally since the company’s founding. When the Hall of Fame “Wheat King” lauded Smith’s distillate, they knew they’d found a winner.
“Once we perfected the distillate, we focused on the aging modifications that would make this whiskey best-in-class,” said Smith. “The lower barrel entry proof of 108 pulls more wood sugars in from the onset, leading to a drinking experience that is elegant and complex.”
Origin High Wheat, the second wheated bourbon in the Origin Series, is comprised of 53 percent corn, 39 percent wheat, 8 percent malted barley and aged 6 years. It is presented at 106 proof (53% alc. by volume) and offered at a suggested retail price of $49.99 (750mL).
In time for the holidays, Bardstown Bourbon Co. will release the Origin Series Experience Tasting Kit, inviting consumers to explore the brand’s core product line through four distinct 6-year-old, 100% estate-distilled whiskeys. The collection features 50mL bottles presented in premium gift packaging including the brand’s ultra-premium, award-winning Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, wheated Bottled-in-Bond, an innovative Double-Barreled Rye Whiskey, and elegant High Wheat Bourbon. The tasting kit is available for a suggested price of $34.99 in all Bardstown Bourbon Co. markets.
The full series, all of which is distilled, aged and bottled at Bardstown Bourbon Co., boasts three multi-Double Gold award winners and the highest rated bourbon in the world, the 98-point Origin Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. Following the series’ initial release, Bardstown Bourbon Co. was named 2023 IWSC Worldwide Whiskey Producer of the Year.
Since 2016, Bardstown Bourbon Co. has grown from a 600,000 proof gallon per year distillery to a top-10 American distillery by volume, custom distilling and bottling more than 18 million proof gallons per year. In this time, when many would release un-aged spirits, the brand has instead become known for its boundary-defying approach to bourbon blending, pulling from both old and newer stock, a variety of mashbills and origins to create single-release products.
Bardstown Bourbon Co launched its estate-distilled lineage of expressions in 2023 featuring an innovative portfolio of Kentucky Whiskies. Founded in the spirit of bringing transparency to an industry often cloaked in secrecy and lore, Bardstown Bourbon Co. has established itself through not only custom distillation but also unprecedented collaboration with a number of the world’s most revered spirits brands.
