The folks at Kentucky’s Jeptha Creed Distillery created this cocktail to honor the upcoming 150th running of the Kentucky Derby.

2 ounces of Jeptha Creed Straight Four Grain Bourbon

½ ounce of St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur

½ ounce of Cointreau

2 ounces of fresh squeezed orange juice

1 ounce of fresh pineapple juice

Combine all ingredients into a shaker tin with ice. Shake thoroughly and strain into a Collins glass filled with ice. Garnish with an orange wheel.

Graton Resort & Casino’s head mixologist, Jessica Christensen, created this cocktail to reflect the beauty of Ireland and its lush landscape.

1 ½ oz Tullamore DEW (or other Irish whiskey)

½ oz Cointreau

1 ounce of lemon juice

½ ounce of simple syrup

¾ oz Aquafaba

1 teaspoon of Matcha powder.

  1. Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker.
  2. Dry shake (without ice) for about 15 seconds.
  3. Add ice to your shaker and shake again for about 10 seconds.
  4. Grab a chilled coupe glass and strain the cocktail into your coupe glass.
  5. Sift matcha powder over top of half of the cocktail, start from the outside, and work your way to the middle of the cocktail.

2 parts of Bib & Tucker Double Char Bourbon

0.25 part of maple syrup

2 dashes of Coffee Pecan Bitters

2 dashes Black Walnut Bitters

Orange Peel

Add bourbon, maple and bitters to a mixing glass over ice. Stir for 30 seconds until cold. Strain liquid over fresh ice into a rocks glass and garnish with orange peel.

The folks at Woodford Reserve shared this Manhattan recipe with us, and the simplicity makes it appealing with just three ingredients.

  • 1.5 ounces of Woodford Reserve Bourbon
  • 3/4 ounce of Antica Formula Sweet Vermouth
  • 2 dashes of Angostura ® bitters.

Add ingredients to mixing glass with ice. Stir until chilled and diluted, then strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a cocktail cherry.

Our friends at Dewar’s shared this cocktail recipe ahead of Labor Day. It’s a hard variation of the Arnold Palmer (half iced tea, half lemonade), and makes a perfect highball.

●       1.5 ounces of Dewar’s 12 Year Old

●       1/2 ounce of peach liqueur

●       3/4 ounce of lemon juice

●       1/4 ounce of simple syrup

●       2 ounces of unsweetened green iced tea

Shake all ingredients and strain over fresh ice in a highball glass. Top with iced green tea. Stir gently to combine. Garnish with dehydrated peach and mint.

With National Whiskey Sour Day coming up August 25, the folks at Ireland’s Teeling Whiskey Company provided this recipe for a variation on the classic cocktail.

  • 2 parts Teeling Small Batch Irish Whiskey
  • 1 part lemon juice
  • 1/2 part simple syrup
  • 1/2 of an egg white

Method: Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker. Shake until chilled and fine strain into a Rocks glass over ice.

The Macallan provided these twists on classic cocktail recipes for National Scotch Whisky Day on July 27 using The Macallan Double Cask 12 and 15 Years Old.

The Macallan Three W’s (Wisdom, Wine, & Whisky)

25ml  Double Cask 12 Years Old

10ml Oloroso syrup

2 dashes of orange bitters

Champagne to top up

Serve in a champagne flute

The Macallan Old Fashioned

50ml Double Cask 12 Years Old

1 Sugar cube

2 dashes of orange bitters

Clear ice

Combine sugar bitters and The Macallan into a mixing glass. Stir over ice until chilled and strain into a rocks glass over a clear block of ice. Garnish with an orange twist.

The Macallan Sour

50ml Double Cask 15 Years Old

20ml lemon juice

10ml brown sugar syrup

Egg white

Oloroso sherry float

Shake all ingredients except the sherry into an ice filled shaker. Strain into glass over ice. Using a bar spoon, slowly layer the sherry over the top of the cocktail.

2 ounces of Bare Knuckle Bourbon Whiskey
3/4 ounce lemon juice
4 ounces of apple cider
Nutmeg

Add Bare Knuckle Bourbon and lemon juice to a rocks glass filled with ice. Top off with apple cider and a sprinkle of nutmeg.
