Speyside distillery Glen Moray has added a trio of limited edition single malt whiskies – Amarone Finish, Amontillado Finish and Oloroso Fully Matured – to their Warehouse 1 Collection [named after Glen Moray’s warehouse which is devoted to ‘innovative’ casks].
Glen Moray Amarone Finish was bottled at 55.4% alcohol by volume [110.8 proof] and is said to contain notes of brown sugar, cherry, cinnamon, fig and green peppercorn. Only 1,194 bottles of Glen Moray Amarone Finish are being made available in the UK for $95 per bottle.
Glen Moray Amontillado Finish was finished in ex-Amontillado sherry casks, bottled at 57.5% alcohol by volume (115 proof) and is said to contain notes of caramel, chocolate and hazelnut. Only 1,248 bottles of Glen Moray Amontillado Finish are being made available for $90 per bottle.
Glen Moray Oloroso Fully Matured was fully matured for eight years in Oloroso sherry casks, bottled at 60% alcohol by volume [120 proof] and is said to contain notes of cacao, chestnut and licorice. Only 1,950 bottles are being made available for $95 per bottle.
