The Macallan has collaborated with DFS Group and Los Angeles World Airports to produce a pop-up space that will run through November 2024 at Tom Bradley International Terminal in Los Angeles International Airport.

The pop-up space is an ‘immersive and sensorial experience’ based on the collage art created by graphic designer David Carson for The Macallan Colour Collection.

The five-expression collection, launched in 2023, celebrates the brand’s commitment to natural color and reflects the influence of sherry in their whiskies, which typically originate from casks from Jerez, in Spain.

The space will also showcase the distillery’s curated selection of single malts, such as the Harmony Collection Green Meadows, A Night on Earth – The Journey, M Collection and Folio Seven.

The Irishman 22-Year-Old was aged in American oak bourbon barrels for 21 of those years before spending the final 12 months locked up in tawny Port casks from the Douro Valley in Portugal, then was bottled at cask strength of 49.43% alcohol by volume[98.86 proof].

Alas, only 600 bottles of The Irishman 22-Year-Old are being made available this year – along with another 600 bottles next year – but only in the Irish airports at Cork and Dublin for $550 per bottle.
