Redbreast has awakened from their last Dream with the release of a 38-year-old Irish whiskey – the seventh and final bottling in their Dream Cask Collection.
The Redbreast Dream Cask Zenith Edition was distilled in 1985 [a good year], matured for 27 years in American oak ex-bourbon casks, then moved to first-fill Oloroso sherry casks for the remainder of the maturation process, before being bottled at 45.3% alcohol by volume [90.6 proof] and is said to boast notes of blackcurrant, chocolate and vanilla.
Redbreast Dream Cask Zenith Edition is being made available for $1085 per bottle.
