Glenmorangie has released a 25-year-old Scotch whisky single malt – Glenmorangie Pommard Cask Finish – but will only be available in the UK…for now.

Glenmorangie Pommard Cask Finish was finished in Pommard casks in 2008, bottled at 51.8% [103.6 proof] and is said to offer notes of apples, cherries, ginger, lemons and plums.

Only 1,000 bottles of Glenmorangie Pommard Cask Finish are being made available exclusively at Glenmorangie’s boutique at London’s Heathrow Airport Terminal 2, for a hefty $2650 per bottle.

UK-based The Lost Distillery Company has released a pair of blended whiskies – Lossit 27 Year Old and Towiemore 25 Year Old – featuring flavor profiles created to mirror former distilleries in the Speyside and Islay regions. [Towiemore was a Speyside distillery active until 1931, while Lossit was an Islay distillery active until 1867].

The Lost Distillery Company’s Lossit 27 Year Old was bottled at 47.3% alcohol by volume [94.6 proof] and is said to offer notes of chocolate, leather, oak and smoke.

The Lost Distillery Company’s Towiemore 25 Year Old was bottled at 52.1% alcohol by volume [104.2 proof] and is said to offer notes of almond, Madeira cake and sherry.

Only 210 bottles of The Lost Distillery Company’s Lossit 27 Year Old are being made available for $660 per bottle.

Only 330 bottles of The Lost Distillery Company’s Towiemore 25 Year Old are being made available for $520 per bottle.

Speyside distillery The Glenlivet has revisited their 21- and 25-year-old single malt whiskies with new double and triple cask finishes, respectively, to create the Sample Room Collection.

The Glenlivet 21 Year Old single malt has been triple finished in first-fill Oloroso sherry, Troncais oak cognac and Colheita Port casks, bottled at 43% alcohol by volume [86 proof] and is said to contain notes of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and pears.

The Glenlivet 25 Year Old single malt has been double finished in both PX sherry and Troncais oak cognac casks, also bottled at 43% alcohol by volume [86 proof] and is said to contain notes of blood orange, fig, ginger and toasted pineapple.

Both single malt whiskies making up The Glenlivet’s Sample Room Collection are being made available for $260 per bottle (21-Year-Old) and $625 per bottle (25-Year-Old) beginning in July 2022.
