Kentucky-based Buffalo Trace Distillery will release their launch 2021 Antique Collection – featuring bourbons aged up to 18 years – albeit, without a George T. Stagg bourbon, whose barrels were deemed to be sub-par by the distillery’s standards.

Buffalo Trace’s 2021 Antique Collection begins with a William Larue Weller bourbon, bottled at 62.65% alcohol by volume (125.3 proof) and said to include notes of cherry, crème brulee and toasted graham crackers.

Included is this year’s Thomas H. Handy, bottled at 64.75% alcohol by volume [129.5 proof] and which is said to contain notes of anise, chocolate, cinnamon and spearmint.

Also included is Eagle Rare 17 Year Old, bottled at 50.5% alcohol by volume (101 proof) and said to contain notes of caramel, cherry, coffee, pepper and vanilla.

Completing the collection is Sazerac Rye 18 Year Old, bottled at 45% alcohol by volume (90 proof) and said to contain notes of anise, apple, cocoa, coffee, dates and maple syrup.

The 2021 Buffalo Trace Antique Collection are being made available for $99 per each bottle.
