UK-based bottlers Gordon & MacPhail have released a 64-year-old single malt as part of their Mr. George Legacy series which honors George Urquhart, an integral member of the Gordon & MacPhail family.

The Gordon & MacPhail Mr George Legacy 1957 comes from the Speyside distillery of Glen Grant and was matured entirely in a first-fill sherry butt made of American oak, bottled at 56.1% alcohol by volume [112.2 proof] and is said to contain notes of cherry, fruitcake, peat and smoke.

Only 298 bottles of Gordon & MacPhail’s Mr. George Legacy 1957 are being made available for $7,400 per bottle.
