Buffalo Trace has released five bourbons and whiskies to comprise their 2023 Antique Collection.

Buffalo Trace Eagle Rare was aged for 19 years and three months, bottled at 50.1% alcohol by volume (101 proof) and is said to offer notes of caramel, cherry and dark chocolate.

Buffalo Trace George T Stagg Bourbon was aged 15 years, bottled at 68% alcohol by volume (136 proof) and is said to offer notes of cherry, chocolate, cinnamon and vanilla.

Buffalo Trace Sazerac Rye 18 Year Old Whiskey was aged 18 years, bottled at 45% alcohol by volume (90 proof) and is said to offer notes of aniseed, black pepper, clove, honey, tobacco leaf and the ubiquitous vanilla.

Buffalo Trace Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Rye Whiskey was bottled at 62.85% alcohol by volume (125.7 proof) and is said to offer notes of black licorice, caramel, orange and pine.

Buffalo Trace William Larue Weller Bourbon was bottled at 64% alcohol by volume (128 proof) and is said to offer notes of brown sugar, cherry, maple syrup and, of course, vanilla.

All five bottles in the 2023 Buffalo Trace Antique Collection are being made available for $125 per bottle.

Tullibardine has released Tullibardine 18 Year Old – an 18-year-old single malt – to their Signature collection.

Tullibardine 18 Year Old was initially matured in both first-fill bourbon as well as sherry casks, bottled at 43% alcohol by volume [86 proof] and is said to offer notes of brown sugar, caramel, cinnamon, cream soda, ginger, nutmeg and and vanilla.

Tullibardine 18 Year Old is being made available worldwide for $110 per bottle.

Highland Park is headed off to London with the release of their 18-year-old London Edition as part of their Single Cask Series of single malt whiskies.

Highland Park London Edition began life being matured for 18 years in a re-fill sherry-seasoned European oak cask before being bottled at 58.5% alcohol by volume [117 proof] and is said to offer notes of nutmeg, pear, peat and vanilla.

Only a mere 642 bottles of Highland Park London Edition are being made available in the UK for $495 per bottle.

The House of Suntory has released both Hakushu 18 Year Old Peated Malt and an 18-year-old Yamazaki whisky aged in mizunara oak casks as part of their 100th anniversary celebration – Suntory was founded in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii who started making whisky at the Yamazaki distillery, located near Kyoto in Japan. 50 years later, Keizo Saji founded the Hakushu distillery in 1973, located in Hokuto.

House of Suntory Yamazaki 18 Year Old Mizunara is a limited edition whisky blend, aged in mizunara casks, bottled at 48% alcohol by volume [96 proof] and is said to offer notes of cinnamon, dark cherry, clove, coconut, nutmeg and peach.

House of Suntory Hakushu 18 Year Old Peated Malt is a blend of malt whiskies all aged for a minimum of 18 years, matured in re-fill American oak cask, bottled at 48% alcohol by volume [96 proof] and is said to offer notes of acacia honey, grapefruit, green apple, pineapple and sage.

House of Suntory Hakushu 18 Year Old Peated Malt is being made available for $1,585 per bottle while and House of Suntory Yamazaki 18 Year Old Mizunara is being made available for $1,990 per bottle.

Actor Liev Schreiber’s Sláinte Irish Whiskey will be available in seven more states in the USA after expanding their distribution network.

Sláinte Irish Whiskey was created last year in a collaboration with Schreiber and was previously sold exclusively online, but will now be made available in California, Florida, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New York and Texas.

Additionally, Schreiber’s Sláinte Irish Whiskey says they will donate one dollar from every sale of Slainte Smooth Blend to Blue Check Ukraine, an organisation also co-founded by Schreiber, which is a collective of humanitarian crisis response experts, entrepreneurs, and filmmakers, with decades of experience addressing the needs of conflict-affected populations and documenting solidarity movements countering oppression.

Sláinte 18-year-old limited edition blend will be available for $500 per bottle.

Sláinte (pronounced Slahn-cha) Smooth Blend is a triple distilled Irish whiskey aged in bourbon oak barrels, finished in sherry casks, bottled at 40% alcohol by volume [80 proof] and is said to contain notes of apricot, banana, pepper and vanilla.

Sláinte Smooth Blend is being made available for $38 per bottle, while the special edition 18 Year Old Irish [56.7% alcohol by volume – 113.4 proof] is being made available for $500 per bottle.

Teeling Renaissance 18 Year Old was matured in ex-bourbon barrels for more than 16 years before being finished in ex-red Pineau des Charentes fortified wine casks from France, bottled at 46% alcohol by volume [92 proof] and said to contain notes of almond, apricot, cherry and pineapple.

Only 9,000 bottles of Teeling Renaissance 18 Year Old are being made available in Ireland from the Teeling Whiskey Distillery in Dublin, for $160 per 700ml bottle. [However, the single malt Irish whiskey will also eventually be made available in Asia, Belgium, Denmark, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Russia and the UK.
