Irish whiskey behemoth brand, Bushmills, has released a pair of single malt Irish whiskies – a 15-year-old and a 21-year-old – to begin their World Wood Series.

The Bushmills World Wood Series 15-year-old single malt was matured in both ex-bourbon first- and second-fill American oak casks, bottled at 46% alcohol by volume [92 proof] and is said to offer notes of caramel, hazelnut and vanilla.

The Bushmills World Wood Series 21-year-old single malt was matured in both bourbon barrels and Oloroso sherry butts for 18 years, finished in first-fill Marsala wine casks for three years, bottled at 46% alcohol by volume [92 proof] and is said to offer notes of brown sugar, orange and vanilla.

Both Bushmills World Wood Series 15-year-old and 21-year-old Irish whiskies are being made available exclusively in travel retail venues with the 15-year-old at $90 per 700ml bottle and the 21-year-old at $265 per 700ml bottle.

Glengoyne 15 Year Old was matured in both first-fill bourbon and sherry casks, bottled at 43% alcohol by volume [86 proof] and is said to contain notes of apple, cinnamon, citrus, rosehip and vanilla.

Glengoyne 15 Year Old is being made available for $100 per 700ml bottle from Glengoyne’s official website.

The English Whisky Company has released a 15 Year Old single malt whisky to commemorate their 15th anniversary – and TEWC claims it is also the oldest publicly available English whisky.

The English Whisky Company 15 Year Old single malt has been matured in an ex-Oloroso sherry cask, bottled at 57.6% alcohol by volume [115.2 proof] and is said to contain notes of cherries, chocolate, dates, figs, ginger and raisins.

Only 572 bottles of The English Whisky Company 15 Year Old are being made available for $320 per bottle.

GlenAllachie 8 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky was aged in both Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry puncheons, along with virgin oak casks and red wine barriques, bottled at 46% alcohol by volume [92 proof] and is said to contain notes of stem ginger, heather honey character, mint chocolate and raisins.

GlenAllachie White Heather 15 Year Old Blended Scotch Whisky contains both peated and unpeated malts blended together, along with grain whiskies, was matured in sherry butts and American oak barrels, re-racked into Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry puncheons, as well as American virgin oak casks for an additional three years, was also bottled at 46% alcohol by volume [92 proof] and is said to contain notes of almonds, butterscotch, ginger, grapefruit, mocha, orange peel and pineapple.

The GlenAllachie 8 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is being made available for $55 per bottle, while the GlenAllachie White Heather 15 Year Old Blended Scotch Whisky is being made available for $80 per bottle.
