Ingredients like lemon and honey promise to hold onto the bright, carefree essence of summer. While the aroma of autumn can be found in Four Roses Small Batch — a palate dominated by rich caramel and toffee notes, complemented by nuances of dark chocolate, roasted nuts, and a hint of cinnamon. Whether you’re summoning sweater-weather or have a tight grip on summer, this refreshing sip is for you.

Ingredients:
2 oz Four Roses Small Batch Bourbon
.75 oz Ooni Bourbon Barrel Aged Honey Syrup (or your honey of choice)*
.75 oz lemon juice
Garnish: lemon peel

Directions:
Combine all ingredients into a mixing tin. Add ice. Shake for fifteen seconds, or until the cocktail is properly diluted and well chilled. Double strain into a chilled cocktail coupe. Garnish.

*Honey Syrup:
Combine two parts honey and one part hot water. Stir until honey is dissolved. Cool to room temperature.

INGREDIENTS
1.5 oz. Templeton Midnight Rye
0.5 oz. Yuzu Liquer
0.75 oz. lemon juice
3 dashes cherry bitters

INSTRUCTIONS
Shake over ice. Strain into a lowball glass over fresh ice. Add a float of Templeton Midnight Rye. Garnish with a cherry skewer.

Templeton Sour National Whiskey Day

A gorgeous float of red wine (we find the flavor of Malbec does best to balance the signature Templeton Rye kick) turns this already impressive, egg-white cocktail into a feast for the eyes and palate.

INGREDIENTS
2 oz. Templeton Rye 6 Year
3/4 oz. simple syrup
3/4 oz. lemon juice
1 egg white
1 oz. Malbec

EQUIPMENT
cocktail shaker
hawthorne strainer
fine strainer
rocks glass

INSTRUCTIONS
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker except the Malbec and dry shake.
Add ice and shake vigorously.
Hawthorne and fine strain into a rocks glass filled with ice and float with Malbec.

Penelope Raspberry Bourbon Lemonade is a delightful blend of tangy lemon, sweet raspberry, and the warmth of bourbon. INGREDIENTS

  1. In a cocktail shaker, muddle the fresh raspberries until they release their juices.
  2. Add ice cubes to the shaker, followed by Penelope Bourbon, fresh lemon juice, and raspberry syrup*.
  3. Shake vigorously until well-chilled.
  4. Strain the mixture into a glass filled with ice.
  5. Garnish with a lemon slice and a sprig of fresh mint for an added touch of elegance.

*RASPBERRY SYRUP:

  • 6 ounces fresh raspberries
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup simple syrup 

TIPS

  • Syrup and lemonade can be prepared in advance. 
  • For an alternate presentation. LAYER lemonades using a bar spoon. Start with Syrup, followed by lemonade then bourbon. Stir to combine prior to drinking.

DIRECTIONS
Add all ingredients to a shaker tin. Add ice and shake for fifteen seconds, or until the cocktail is well chilled. Double strain over fresh ice into the glass. Garnish

Honey Syrup:
Combine equal parts honey and hot water. Stir until honey is dissolved. Cool to room temperature.

Four Roses Hibiscus Mint Julep

Ingredients:

2 fl oz Four Roses Small Batch
1/2 fl oz Hibiscus Simple Syrup
2-3 Mint Leaves
Mint Leaves for Garnish

Directions:

Steep 1 part hibiscus tea to 1 part granulated sugar. Stir until dissolved.

Muddle mint with hibiscus syrup in a Julep cup.

Add Bourbon and crushed ice. Pack tight.

Swizzle or stir until the cocktail is well chilled.

Add more ice to create a dome and garnish.

Mellow and Merry Mule

Ingredients:

1.5 oz Four Roses Small Batch

2 oz cranberry juice

4 oz ginger beer

Splash of lime juice

Cranberries for garnish

Sprig of rosemary for garnish

Directions: Fill a glass with ice and add all liquid ingredients. Garnish with a sprig of rosemary and fresh cranberries.

Uncle's Yam Cocktail

A drinkable sweet potato cocktail? Sure! Whatever the family dynamics this week, a unique cocktail is sure to keep the conversation rolling…or bring some sweet silence from Uncle Jim. Here’s to a week of delicious food, killer drinks, and a nap or two.

Ingredients:

2 oz Uncle Nearest 1856 Premium Aged Whiskey

0.5 oz sweet potato syrup*

5-6 dashes Angostura bitters 

Orange peel for garnish

Directions: Combine all liquid ingredients in a rocks glass over a large cube. Stir for approximately 30 seconds, until desired dilution and chill are achieved. Garnish with orange peel.

*Sweet Potato Syrup:

1 sweet potato

2 qt water

48 oz brown sugar

16 oz coconut sugar

Directions: Boil down the sweet potato in 2 qt water for 15 mins. Blend the water and sweet potatoes. Measure out 64 oz of sweet potato juice and add in the brown and coconut sugar to blend together.

A sweltering summer calls for a refreshing sip. Enjoy your favorite rye with a bit of the seasons freshest fruit.

With a palate of light vanilla cream and caramelized sugar, we think Uncle Nearest Straight Rye is a solid choice for this summertime cocktail. But any good cocktail is best enjoyed with your favorite spirit, of course.

Ingredients: 

2 oz Uncle Nearest Straight Rye (or Rye of choice)

3 lemon wedges 

6 mint leaves 

0.5-0.75 oz simple syrup 

Seasonal fruit 

Directions: Combine lemon wedges, mint leaves, simple syrup and seasonal fruit in a shaker. Muddle gently to release juice and oils. Add Uncle Nearest Straight Rye and ice. Shave for 8-10 seconds. Double strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice. Garnish with a sprig.

Ingredients: 

2 oz Four Roses Small Batch Bourbon (or bourbon of choice)

¾ oz raspberry syrup*

¾ oz lemon juice

1 egg white 

Fresh raspberries and black berries for garnish 

Directions: Muddle blackberries in a mixing tin and add remaining ingredients. Dry shake for fifteen seconds and add ice. Shake for another fifteen seconds or until the cocktail is well chilled. Double strain over ice into a rocks glass. Garnish

*Raspberry Syrup: Combine equal parts raspberries, granulated sugar, and hot water. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Cool to room temperature. Strain.
